Pectus Excavatum Improvement
What is pectus excavatum
Pectus is one of, if not, the most common skeletal deformity (I now say conditions) known to man. There are two main types of pectus they are pectus excavatum and pectus carinatum. Pectus excavatum is much more common than pectus carinatum both can be classified either being mild, moderate or severe.
It affects around 1 in 400 people at some degree all though some sources say 1in a 1000. It is more common in males. Effecting around 75% of males and 25% of females. Some people have so mild they do not realize they even have but at the other end of the scale it can be so severe that surgery is a must as both pectus excavatum and pectus carinatum can restrict heart and lung function.

The psychology of pectus excavatum
As the Pectus condition can make people unhappy, this can cause poor posture too. This is because you never see happy people with poor posture, and unhappy people with good posture. Our bodies never lie; we wear our truth as our mind and body are connected, so it can be bit of a catch twenty-two situation with people who have pectus. There are also many other reasons for poor posture, like sitting behind a desk all day, using the same movement patterns in work or sporting environment and certain imbalances within the organs of the body.
